Sam Wisneski was born and raised in Wisconsin. He started his art career with an emphasis on illustration and produced a number of winning posters that have become collector's items.

Wisneski graduated with distinction from the Ringling School of Art. He then movedto New York City and obtained an M.F.A. from the New York Academy of Art. He also studied with Jacob Collins at the Water Street Atelier. Now, he is an instructor at the new Grand Central Academy of Art in Manhattan.
